"VIT(R)AL - Reflections of Freedom" is an artwork that combines the tradition of Arraiolos stitch with the serenity of Portuguese tiles, creating a dialogue between the past and the present. The tapestry, inspired by traditional tiles, evokes memories and familiarity with home and its pattern, imbued with the memory of an eternal Portugal, intertwines the past and the present in a silent yet expressive dialogue, especially when crafted in the Arraiolos stitch technique, which dates back to the 16th century and is now renewed and reinvented. The mirror integrated into the piece reflects the viewer's image along with the question 'Are you free?', visible only through the inverted reflection on a mobile phone. The artwork questions freedom in our contemporary world, highlighting the influence of technology in our lives and inviting introspection about the true essence of freedom.
