AURORA

The piece "Aurora" was born from the artist’s participation in an open call promoted by New Hand Lab, as part of the "Teias Criativas" residency cycle. Selected to join this program, the artist was challenged to develop a work that combined ceramics and textiles in an intensive creative process lasting just one month—one week in residence in Caldas da Rainha and three weeks in Covilhã. The result of this journey, completed between January 6 and February 4, 2025, became part of the Covilhã Design Triennial 2025 program, held from March 21 to June 21. Techniques: Ceramics: Pottery; hand modeling; musgado. Textiles: Arraiolos; weaving; Smyrna; crochet. Painting. Dimensions: Dome: approximately 2.40 meters in diameter and 1.50 meters in height.
